Letter: How do poor afford six kids?
Don't you wonder how anyone today thinks he or she can afford to have six children [Poverty on the rise on Long Island," News, Sept. 22]? Even the "wealthy," I guess making more than $100,000 a year, have trouble feeding, educating, entertaining, clothing and preparing for college for more than one or two children.
Just how many of those six children were born before their financial world started falling apart?
