Letter: Hypocrites who preach diversity

The Aug. 24 editorial, “Affordable homes and ugly attitudes,” expresses the ultimate hypocrisy.
It’s no secret that areas on Long Island lack diversity, carry higher property values and have better school districts. Money buys exclusion.
Many who preach diversity see this as progress for everyone but themselves. Hillary Clinton, who seeks the support of black voters, chose to purchase a home in Chappaqua, which is largely white. Sen. Bernie Sanders, who hates the “1 percent,” just bought a lakefront home for $575,000 in a non-diverse section of Vermont.
