Letter: In Brookhaven, fix Chapman Boulevard

Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and his department repaved a dozen roads in Shoreham and completed additional work in Patchogue and Medford [“Recent road repaving project completed,” News, Sept. 15].
In Manorville, a main artery is Chapman Boulevard. I live on this road. It is substandard and has been neglected for years. Potholes, patching, cracks and drainage problems persist, despite repeated calls to town offices.
Route 111 and Sunrise Highway access Chapman Boulevard, as do many large developments such as Greenwood Village.
It appears politics, clout or outright denial is at work here.
