Letter: Judge Iraq War in relation to past

Your editorial described the cost of the Iraq War ["Hard-learned lessons of war," March 24]. It is obvious that you are biased against President George W. Bush.
I think you should mention President Harry S. Truman's war in Korea, and the cost in lives. We got a divided Korea as a result, with the North causing problems.
You should also note President Lyndon B. Johnson's Vietnam War, which we lost, and the cost not only in lives, but the bitterness it caused. All of them are terrible, and I consider wars a failure of our country's diplomacy and leadership.
At least in Iraq, the country got rid of a tyrant and is trying to become a democracy.
