Letter: Keep drones away from planes

We don't know what the agenda is for people who fly drones near airports, but I don't think we should give them the benefit of the doubt and wait until they -- intentionally or not -- hit a plane ["Second drone by Kennedy Airport sighted," News, Aug. 2].
The use of drones should be more strictly regulated. Why can't safety standards require that drones be fitted with something like what is used to locate cellphones? Then, should one fly where it shouldn't, it could be tracked back to its owner, who could suffer the consequences.
