I want to congratulate Newsday for its untiring efforts to keep us informed about the actions of our leaders and the efforts being made to bring them to justice ["Focus on exec's calendar," News, Nov. 10]. It's gotten to the point where I pick up my morning paper with the expectation of seeing some juicy piece about our leaders and the type of people with whom they associate and conspire.
It certainly created an interesting environment for the recent elections. One of the most interesting was the Town of Oyster Bay election in which all of the incumbents were re-elected, but the town supervisor's race was in doubt. How about that for high drama? Is there any better way for the people to tell the town supervisor that they have serious doubts about him?
Keep going, Newsday. You're doing a magnificent public service.
