Letter: Kerouac memories of adventure

Your story "Kerouac's other road" [LI Life, Dec. 9], about Jack Kerouac's years in Northport, reminded me of the more adventurous spirit of youth.
Sadly, as we get older -- with more responsibilities and less free time -- there are fewer journeys we can take. But Kerouac's ideals continue to live in all of us.
