New York City is providing public places to recharge dying phones and other mobile devices ["25 charging stations being placed in parks," News, June 19]. We should have these in Nassau and Suffolk counties, too.

This would help during power losses. After superstorm Sandy, power was lost in some cases for weeks.

Cellphones can be charged in motor vehicles, but not all cellphone users have motor vehicles, especially seniors.
