Letter: Mastic waterfront needs investment
Please don't say we will let the village decay further to save some birds ["Waterfront district plan dropped," News, Feb. 10].
Don't get me wrong, I love the wildlife. That's one of the things that made me purchase my property a dozen years ago. Surely any plans to improve our natural resource, the waterfront, should include the two main parks as the sanctuary for such wildlife.
Improving the waterfront is going to take investment, and we all know the locals aren't investing anymore. So let's open the doors, as well as our minds, and let the outside world in, with their ideas and their money.
