Missing Gwen Ifill

I cried when I heard of Gwen Ifill’s untimely passing [“Ground-breaking journalist,” News, Nov. 15].

I so counted on her to see us through the post-election jitters and the Donald Trump presidency. Her calm demeanor, lovely voice and noncombative interviewing and reporting style will be greatly missed.

If ever there was a role model for journalists and women, Ifill was it. I pray that she will always be remembered and emulated.
