Years ago in the Susquehanna Valley, I was an art teacher in an elementary school. In cooperation with sixth grade teachers, as part of social studies lessons on Egypt, I had my students make mummy cases [“I want my mummy!” News, Feb. 26]. The Tutankhamen exhibit was at the Metropolitan Museum at the time. I was also asked to demonstrate the technique at a workshop for the state art teachers convention. Newsday’s photo and video brought back many many fond memories!
