Letter: N. Hempstead raises 'outlandish'

Regarding "Elected officials closer to pay raise" [News, Nov. 20], it is outlandish that in these economic hard times, the North Hempstead Town Board would vote itself raises of 37.5 percent!

I've been working more than 30 years at my company. I think the total of my raises for all those years might equal 37 percent.
