A word about Nancy Reagan’s funeral: What a joy to see bipartisan civility mourning her passing [“Tributes for Nancy Reagan,” News, March 12].
What a delight it was to hear intelligent, articulate people speaking proper American English, with superior rhetorical skills, using alliteration and parallel structure and other techniques to communicate effectively. After weeks of rancor and base debate, at the funeral we saw America at its best, at its most elegant.
