I'm not sure I understand: $275,000 and $175,000 mosaics at the Wyandanch and Massapequa train stations ["Adding culture to commutes," News, April 19]?

Only to have them, in a few months or years, fall into disrepair and be marred by graffiti? How about using that money to keep the trains clean? That would beautify the trains for all and would be more appreciated!
