Hillary Clinton recently said, “When the front-runner for the Republican nomination was asked in a national television interview to disavow David Duke and other white supremacists supporting his campaign, he played coy” [“Clinton says GOP rivals reflect racism struggle,” News, April 14].

She said this while standing not even a yard away from the Rev. Al Sharpton. The next day, Sen. Bernie Sanders also spoke by Sharpton’s side. So much for the Democrats’ right to lecture us about bigotry and extremism.
