Letter: November vote was not a mandate

In the editorial "Now Obama must deliver" [Jan. 22], the word mandate was used to describe President Barack Obama's win in the last election.
When was the definition of mandate changed? In the past, it was only used when the win was a lot higher than just a hair above 50 percent.
