With Nassau County's budget in tatters why would we spend a large sum of money to move a dilapidated house to a new site ["Historic house saved," News, May 30].

The house has been an eyesore for years. Who makes a call like that? Nassau has more than enough museums, parks and historic homes.

I doubt that the majority of taxpayers would support this decision. It's almost comical, given the other areas of need surrounding us.
