Regarding "Property taxing" [News, March 9], about the taxes owed on the former Jericho Marine property:
I've been a Lindenhurst resident for 41 years. Each year I pay my taxes, and I happen to believe that we get an excellent value for our money. The village is nicely kept and attractive. Its shore is a great joy for all residents.
How can this individual not pay taxes on this property since 1988? There is a $400,000 lien. How can this happen? She is conducting a business there.
