Your news story on Suffolk County and the state possibly spending $350,000 to replace guardrails in Sag Harbor made me sick [“Suffolk mulls $350G rail removal,” Aug. 30].

I’ve traveled that road many times. I’ve never thought those guardrails are ugly! I’ve never thought they mar the scenic water views. What a total waste of taxpayers’ money. This is another example of residents of a very wealthy area having more clout with our politicians.
