All 15 members of the Suffolk County Human Rights Commission stand in solidarity with the members of the Sikh community in Wisconsin and throughout the world who suffered the murder of their co-religionists ["Feds had 'looked at' temple gunman," News, Aug. 8].

We also join in support of the members of the Joplin, Mo., community that suffered the act of arson against their house of worship ["Joplin mosque burned again," News, Aug. 7].

These horrible and tragic acts of violence, perpetrated against these communities, by those whose lives bear witness to the hatred that resides in the hearts of some human beings, must inspire the rest of us to work tirelessly for the day when violence and evil shall be stilled.
