Convicted child molester Jerry Sandusky faces up to 400 years in prison ["Focus turns to Penn State," Editorial, June 26]. Assuming he will be personally and biologically unable to serve all of his potential prison sentence, I don't want those well-deserved years to be wasted.
Therefore, I propose that they be served in 25-year and 50-year increments by those people who, by their silence and failure to be whistle-blowers, were Sandusky's virtual accomplices because they enabled him to continue molesting children for more than a decade.
