Regarding "U.S. issues apology" [News, April 19], when are we going to stop making these apologies to foreign countries for a few misguided things our troops do?

These soldiers are constantly under duress, between watching their friends die and killing. I don't remember any apologies from other countries.

We have spent billions in Afghanistan and Iraq. Where is the payback?
