I agree with "Stranded cars can be dangerous" [Letters, March 11]. As my husband and I were driving south on Merrick Avenue in East Meadow, there were flashing car lights up ahead in the right-hand lane. When I got closer, I saw that it was a parked vehicle. Then, I saw that there was a man underneath the vehicle, working on it.
I thought that this was a very dangerous situation for him. We may need a law regarding fixing one's vehicle on roadways. It would be much safer to call a tow truck for assistance.
