Students need to learn decency, respect
I was distressed to read about swastikas appearing in a theater storage room Northport High School and glad to hear that administrators and faculty members are addressing the issue forthrightly [“LI officials join to halt hate crime,” News, Nov. 24].
Students of today are the potential leaders of tomorrow. Learning decency and respect is as important as mastering any academic subject — especially so after a wrenching and, at times, disheartening presidential election.
