Letter: Superstorm recovery stalled

My wish is for the insurance companies to get moving and send checks so that people like me can get our houses back in shape ["His plans to prepare for next storm," News, Jan. 10].
We reported that the ground floor of our house was swept away by superstorm Sandy a day or two after the storm. We received a pitiful advance payment, and since then, no work has been done to restore the severe damage. This after 47 years of paying insurance premiums.
