Letter: Tax multinational corporations

I strongly support any tax on corporate profits earned and kept overseas regardless of whether this is a Democratic or Republican idea ["Tax overhaul," News, Feb. 23].
Multinationals will fight this tooth and nail, but what gives them the right not to pay hundreds of billions of dollars?
Every person and every company must pay a fair share. Why should General Electric and thousands of others avoid taxes on overseas profits? America needs the revenue more than the companies and their CEOs.
