Letter: Thanks for taking readers back to 1940

What a great surprise to find in my Nov. 24 edition of Newsday a reprint of your newspaper from Thanksgiving 1940!

From the cover story about baby Morilyn Ryan to stories of the day, it brought me back in time — although I’m only 46.

The best was the section with letters to the editor. Even 76 years ago, people complained about the Long Island Rail Road! So funny!

Thanks, Newsday. You should do this sort of thing throughout the year or on historic dates.
