Letter: TR was a racist and warmonger

Regarding "An unauthorized message" [Letters, Oct. 4], if anyone is interested in getting a more accurate appraisal of Theodore Roosevelt's character, then I would strongly suggest that they read "The Imperial Cruise" by James Bradley.
This carefully researched and well-documented book reveals that Roosevelt was among other things, a racist. He was also a warmonger; until of course, his own son died in World War I.
