PSEG Long Island's plan to trim trees around power lines may be met with opposition because people are "very attached to the aesthetics of their neighborhoods," as one local official said ["PSEG: More trimming," News, Jan. 7].

But I'll go out on a limb to say opposition will quickly disappear if power lines are disconnected by falling branches or trees.
