Letter: Uplands housing is too dense

The proposed Uplands project for Kings Park would be a massive apartment complex on a site that is not suitable for such intense development ["Residents oppose St. Johnland project site," News, Dec. 3].
The local civic associations initially advocated for a land swap that would have relocated the Uplands project to a more appropriate location. Now, the Smithtown Board and Suffolk County Legis. John Kennedy (R-Nesconset) appear to be ignoring residents' concerns.
