Letter: Wrong solution in Farmingdale
I just read that Farmingdale is getting $1 million to fix Main Street ["Farmingdale gets $1M for roadwork," News, Nov. 22]. I smiled because it really needs to be fixed. But bump-out crosswalks and sidewalks?
The problem is that the street is too narrow. There is little parking, and when it's full and vehicles are going both ways, traffic slows to a creep. I constantly pray everyone is not going to clip my mirrors.
