Letters: FBI needs better supervision

Recent headlines indicate that our FBI is in need of supervision. Florida socialite Jill Kelley gets a friend, an FBI agent, to investigate her claims of threatening emails, with the results being given to only Republican officials in our government ["Congress wants details on probe," News, Nov. 12].
Where is Eliot Ness when we need him?
So now we have an ambassador and three other Americans dead in a terrorist attack, and what is all over the news? Gen. David Petraeus' affair. So, what else is new?
What Americans really want to know is how these lives were lost, not who Petraeus slept with. Is this what America has come to?
