In Europe, almost every airport has a direct train connection. All we need at Long Island MacArthur Airport is a tram/light rail/monorail connecting the airport terminal to the Ronkonkoma Long Island Rail Road station. Why not?

This could be a tourist destination for children and grandchildren. The money “saved” by not relocating the terminal can be used to enhance and modernize the terminal, parking, and other features.

Why not build a garage? Another hotel would help, and even a new bus line, if needed. We need to think broadly and openly — to modernize responsibly — our beautiful Long Island. Then we can finally get more direct flights. I still miss the connections to Pittsburgh and Chicago.
