Make cars stronger
The article “Man killed in car crash” [News, March 14], and the photo of a crumpled vehicle led me to wonder why we have seat belts and air bags.
We have cars that seem to be made of paper. Where is consumer advocate Ralph Nader when we need him?
With high prices for cars, manufacturers could at least make them somewhat stronger, as they did in the 1960s and ’70s.
