Nonagenarian who doesn’t drive can’t get a response
As a 98-year-old resident of North Babylon, I got zonked twice. I have no wheels, so I asked the Babylon parks department to let my grandson, who does not live in the town, buy a parking permit so we could regularly go to a town park.
I visited a Town of Babylon park permit office, sent an email and made four phone calls, but have gotten no response.
Disappointed, I wrote to Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer on July 9 to request assistance. No response to date.

Looser rules contradict the point of organic production
The Trump administration has loosened regulations for the welfare of animals raised organically. Now they can be raised in the traditional factory farm method which is contrary to why people buy organic. We need to support the farmers who follow humane methods of raising animals.
The Trump administration has again shown itself to lack compassion and empathy for humans and animals for the sake of profit, its donors and its base.
