Musings: How I keep scammers away

I’m a senior trying to protect myself from scammers every day. I have protections on my phone, texts, and email. Unknown or suspicious requests are sent to junk mail or blocked. Known telephone numbers go through. If it’s an important legitimate call, they’ll leave a message, I’ll call back an authentic proven number. This protection works great.
Many companies use a computer-generated call system. If you answer the call, you’re forwarded to the company’s representative or, worse, a scammer.
If companies want more productive outcomes, maybe they should bring back the human calling system.
