We just paid several hundred dollars to trim large, dead limbs off one of our very old and very large trees. However, one dead limb hangs right over the power, telephone, and cable lines, so the arborist would not touch it.

We contacted PSEG Long Island to have it removed. PSEG said it would gladly do so, but we would have to pay the cost of removing the debris. We told PSEG we would not, and it would be their big problem if the limb broke off and possibly caused loss of power and/or fire.
