Letter: U.S. is already superior in air, space

So now President Donald Trump wants to play soldier in space [“The military in space,” Editorial, Aug. 19].
NASA, the Air Force, Navy, Marines and Army have distinguished themselves with moon landings, space shuttle missions and space exploration while maintaining air superiority here on Earth! As a former captain and multiengine pilot in the USAF, my advice to the president is to leave space alone, stay in his chair and nurse his bone spurs.
