Sheathed in stucco, a waterfront Hamptons mansion stands out amid a sea of cedar shake and contemporary-style homes. Inside, Venetian plaster and Jerusalem marble hint at international influence.
The East Quogue home, which sits on Dune Road beneath a terracotta roof, is on the market for $7.49 million. The house has six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and two half-bathrooms. Annual taxes on the 1.54-acre property within the East Quogue Union Free School District total $85,477.

“It’s not a Hampton-esque home — it’s a Mediterranean-style home,” said listing agent Frank Mistretta, of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty. “It has that flavor of being in Italy.”
Three archways, 13 portholes and a staircase made by an Italian craftsman are among the home’s custom details. The sellers built the home in 2013, Mistretta said, adding that the home’s foundation includes steel beams characteristic of a Manhattan skyscraper.
There are five bedrooms on the first floor and a primary suite on the second. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, and each level includes a bar and fireplace. The home is heated by natural gas and forced air, and cooled by central air conditioning.

“It has what’s called 'reverse living,' ” Mistretta said. “The kitchen is upstairs, so that you could have breakfast, lunch and dinner and see the Atlantic Ocean.”
The ocean is visible from a second-story deck, accessible from the primary bedroom and the living room. From a rooftop deck, Mistretta said, both the ocean and the Shinnecock Bay are in view.
Outside, the property includes a gunite pool, an outdoor shower and a stone walkway that leads to the Atlantic.
