A Colonial in the Mews section of Garden City is on the market for $1.15 million. The annual property taxes are $14,719.

The house is located on Franklin Court, on a 0.06-acre lot. With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, it comes to a total of 1,592 square feet.

"It exudes old world charm and sophistication," said Stephen Baymack, of Compass. He is co-listing the property with Laura Baymack.

Homes throughout the neighborhood feature stucco exteriors, he said. This one was built in 1936, with white siding and sea green shutters.

"The location is ideal because of the proximity to the heart of our village," said Baymack. "With restaurants and shopping, as well as the Long Island Rail Road station."

Although it has a classic charm on the outside, a transformation has taken place inside over the past 12 years, including renovations on the kitchen and bathroom, plus boiler, central air and electrical service updates, Baymack said.

The kitchen features stainless steel appliances and stone countertops. There is a finished basement with laundry units and room for recreation and storage.

Other notable features include a one-car detached garage, private driveway and pull-down attic. The backyard contains a seating area with stone pavers that overlooks plenty of greenery.

"Garden City is a very special town that has a tremendous, community-oriented neighborhood," Baymack said.

The property is served by the Garden City Union Free School District.
