A neutral-toned home in Greenport sits a minute's drive from a fish market, where listing agent Paul Loeb said fishing boats pull up to deliver their catches.
The four-bedroom, 2½-bathroom home — whose past owners included a fisherman and the owner of the seafood market, Loeb said — is on the market for nearly $1.65 million. Taxes on the quarter-acre Bailey Avenue property, which falls within the Greenport Union Free School District, total $11,312.

"You have a charming, older home that's been expanded and renovated," said Loeb, of Douglas Elliman.
Newsday could not confirm the build year of the home, which Loeb described as an "antique home" with a wood-burning fireplace and open-concept living area. The living room opens into the dining room, the dining room to the kitchen. Off of the living room, Loeb said, there is a room that could be used as an office or a fourth bedroom.

Features like a walk-in closet and a double shower with rainfall heads modernize the home.
"With most older homes, you have a ton of renovation to do before move-in," Loeb said. "This one is all done for you."
There is an outdoor shower for which the buyer would need to acquire a permit, according to Loeb.
