A renovated ranch in Merrick is on the market for $850,000. The taxes are $15,268.
The house contains four bedrooms and two bathrooms, totaling 1,685 square feet. The ranch sits on a 0.17-acre lot, on Keeler Avenue.
This architectural style is highly sought-after by buyers, said listing agent Therese DiRenzo, of Compass. There are not many ranches on the market in Merrick right now, she added.
"It’s desirable for anybody looking to downsize or as a starter home,” DiRenzo said.
The house underwent a gut renovation in 2016, she said — plus, the driveway was redone in 2023, the patio and front walk were updated in 2019 and the detached garage roof and door were replaced in 2023.

"A key feature on it is there are solar panels that were purchased in 2023,” DiRenzo added. "They are fully owned.” There is also a transferable 25-year warranty on the solar panels, which are paid off, the agent said.
