Newsday’s Spa Day Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored by Newsday LLC (“Newsday”). By entering the Sweepstakes, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Official Rules of the Sweepstakes (the “Official Rules”). Please review the Official Rules carefully. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of the Official Rules in their entirety, you are not permitted to enter the Sweepstakes.

1. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who attend the event at which Newsday is offering this Sweepstakes (the "Event") during the Sweepstakes Entry Period, who complete registration for a free Newsday.com account during the Sweepstakes Entry Period, who are legal residents of Nassau, Suffolk, or Queens Counties, New York, who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of entry, and who are legally capable of entering into binding contracts under applicable law. Eligible registrants will receive complimentary access to Newsday.com content for one (1) month from the date of registration. After the one-month promotional period ends, access to Newsday.com content will be limited in accordance with Newsday's then-current access policies unless the participant purchases a subscription. Employees of Newsday, its advertising, fulfillment or promotion agencies, service providers, agents, officers, parents, subsidiaries or affiliates, or any other persons or entities directly associated with the Sweepstakes (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Entities”) and members of the immediate families of and/or persons living in the same household as such persons, are ineligible to enter the Sweepstakes or claim the Prize (as defined below).

2. SWEEPSTAKES ENTRY PERIOD: The "Sweepstakes Entry Period" begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("E.T.") on July 21, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. E.T. on July 27, 2026. Entries must be received during the Sweepstakes Entry Period to be eligible to win the Prize.

3. HOW TO ENTER: During the Sweepstakes Entry Period, eligible individuals who attend the Event on July 21, 2026, may enter the Sweepstakes by successfully completing registration for a free Newsday.com account. Upon successful completion of the registration process, eligible individuals will automatically receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. Limit one (1) Entry per person during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. As part of the registration process, entrants may be asked to answer four (4) or five (5) optional questions. Responses to these questions are not required for entry into the Sweepstakes and will not affect an entrant's eligibility or chances of winning.[GS1.1] Completion of registration constitutes acceptance of Newsday's Terms of Service and acknowledgment of Newsday's Privacy Policy.

No mailed, hard copy, or other offline entries will be accepted. Any Entries submitted in excess of this limit will be discarded.

By submitting an Entry, the entrant agrees that the Entry conforms to these Official Rules and that Newsday may disqualify any Entry that, in its sole and reasonable discretion, it determines fails to conform to these Official Rules or otherwise contains unacceptable content.

In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Entry will be deemed submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address provided at the time of entry. All Entries become the property of Newsday and will not be returned. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, damaged, illegible, misdirected, or undeliverable Entries, or for any technical, mechanical, or transmission errors or difficulties of any kind.

Any attempt by a participant to obtain more than the permitted number of Entries by using multiple or different identities, registrations, or any other methods, or to otherwise tamper with or defraud the Sweepstakes, will result in disqualification and the voiding of all associated Entries. Newsday reserves the right, in its sole and reasonable discretion, to reject any Entry it believes to be fraudulent, incomplete, invalid, or non-compliant with these Official Rules. Further, Newsday reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules if the Sweepstakes is not capable of being conducted as planned due to causes beyond Newsday’s reasonable control, including but not limited to computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, force majeure, or technical failures of any kind.

4. PRIZE: One (1) winner will be randomly selected to receive one (1) FIVE HUNDRED DOLLAR ($500.00) American Express Gift Card (the "Prize"). The approximate retail value ("ARV") of the Prize is FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00).

The Prize will be awarded in the form of an American Express Gift Card. The winner is solely responsible for all costs and expenses associated with acceptance and use of the Prize that are not expressly provided by Newsday, including, without limitation, transportation to and from the spa or other location selected by the winner, parking, gratuities, meals, lodging, taxes (if any), and all other incidental expenses. The Prize is non-refundable and may not be resold under any circumstances. No substitution, assignment, or transfer of the Prize is permitted, except by Newsday, which reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute the Prize with a prize of equal or greater value if necessary. Prize claim instructions will be provided at the time of winner verification. The Prize is awarded "as is," with no warranty or guarantee, express or implied. All Prize details are determined by Newsday in its sole discretion.

This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with American Express or any of its affiliates.

5. DRAWING AND NOTIFICATION: A random drawing from all eligible Entries received will take place after the conclusion of the Sweepstakes Entry Period to select the potential Prize winner(s). The potential Prize winner(s) will be notified via email or telephone, at Newsday’s sole discretion, within five (5) business days after selection.

Within forty-eight (48) hours following notification, the potential Prize winner(s) may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release (“Affidavit”), as determined by Newsday. If a potential Prize winner fails to respond to Newsday within the required time period, is found to be ineligible, fails to execute and return any required documentation, does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules, or refuses the Prize, the Prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected from among the remaining eligible Entries.

The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for any failure to notify a potential Prize winner or to receive a response due to technical issues, transmission errors, filtering or blocking of email or other communications, or for any other reason beyond their reasonable control. All decisions regarding the interpretation of these Official Rules and the administration of the Sweepstakes are within the sole discretion of the Sweepstakes Entities and are final and binding.

6. LIKENESS: Entry in the Sweepstakes constitutes each entrant’s irrevocable permission and consent to the Sweepstakes Entities and others authorized by the Sweepstakes Entities to use the entrant’s name, address (city and state), image, and/or likeness for editorial, advertising, and/or publicity purposes in perpetuity, worldwide, in any and all media now in existence or hereinafter created, without further compensation, unless and to the extent prohibited by law.

7. CHOICE OF LAW/LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: EACH ENTRANT AGREES THAT: (A) THE SWEEPSTAKES SHALL BE GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, (B) ANY AND ALL DISPUTES, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR CONNECTED WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES OR ANY PRIZE AWARDED SHALL BE RESOLVED INDIVIDUALLY, WITHOUT RESORT TO ANY FORM OF CLASS ACTION, AND EXCLUSIVELY IN THE SUPREME COURT OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, COUNTY OF SUFFOLK, (C) ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, JUDGMENTS AND AWARDS SHALL BE LIMITED TO ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET COSTS INCURRED, BUT IN NO EVENT ATTORNEYS' FEES, (D) NO PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR OTHER DAMAGES, MAY BE AWARDED, AND (E) ENTRANT HEREBY WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO CLAIM SPECIAL DAMAGES AND ALL RIGHTS TO HAVE SUCH DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR INCREASED. ENTRANTS HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY ACTION OR PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS CONTEST.

8. PRIVACY STATEMENT: Entrants’ information may be used and disclosed by the Sweepstakes Entities as provided for in these Official Rules, and as permitted by Newsday's privacy policy posted at newsday.com/privacy. Please also review Newsday’s recurring automated text messages terms posted at newsday.com/smsterms if applicable.

Information collected in connection with registration for a Newsday.com account and entry into the Sweepstakes, including any optional responses to registration questions, may be used by Newsday to create and administer your account, administer the Sweepstakes, provide access to Newsday.com, communicate with you regarding your account and the Sweepstakes, and for research, analytical, editorial, and marketing purposes, in accordance with Newsday's Privacy Policy. Where information is used for research, analytical, or editorial purposes, it may be used in aggregated and/or de-identified form.

9. RULES/WINNERS’ LIST: For an additional copy of these Official Rules or a Prize winner listing, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Sponsor: Newsday’s Sweepstakes, 6 Corporate Center Drive, Melville NY 11747. All requests for rules and winners’ lists must be received within six (6) months of the conclusion of the Sweepstakes Entry Period.

10. RELEASE/INDEMNIFICATION: By entering the Sweepstakes, each entrant agrees: (a) to release and hold harmless the Sweepstakes Entities and their respective members, officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents from and against any and all liability in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, legal claims, costs, losses, damages, demands, or actions of any kind; and (b) to indemnify and hold the Sweepstakes Entities and their respective members, officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents harmless from and against any and all claims, expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees, costs and settlement costs), damages, suits, costs, demands, and/or judgments whatsoever, made by any third party due to or arising out of the entrant’s: (i) improper or unauthorized participation in the Sweepstakes; (ii) breach of these Official Rules or any representation made by the entrant herein; and/or (iii) violation of any rights of another individual or entity. The provisions of this paragraph are for the benefit of the Sweepstakes Entities and their respective members, officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and agents. Each of these individuals and entities shall have the right to assert and enforce these provisions directly against each entrant on its/her/his own behalf.

11. TAX INFORMATION: Federal, state, and local taxes, and all similar fees and assessments, are the responsibility of the Prize winner. Newsday reserves the right to file a form 1099-MISC for the Prize winner, if applicable.

12. MISCELLANEOUS: Restrictions, conditions, and limitations apply. The odds of winning the Prize depend on the number of entrants participating in the Sweepstakes during the Sweepstakes Entry Period. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Rules shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. Newsday’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event of any conflict or other inconsistency between the Official Rules and any advertisements, promotional or marketing materials, e-mails, or announcements relevant to the Sweepstakes, these Official Rules will govern.
