Awaiting Strasburg MRI results
Washington Nationals rookie pitcher Stephen Strasburg threw lightly on Sunday, then had an MRI to determine what damage, if any, he sustained in his forearm during Saturday’s start against the Phillies. Results are due today. The team called it a strained flexor tendon and the baseball world assumed Strasburg was finished for the season. "We're going to be very conservative with him," manager Jim Riggleman told the Washington Post. But general manger Mike Rizzo termed ``inaccurate’’ reports that Strasburg would be shut down for the remainder of the year.
