Beltran will not do the right thing
Carlos Beltran does not want to give up centerfield to Angel Pagan, who is better at the position than back-from-knee-surgery Beltran. ``I don't know,'' Beltran told David Lennon in Atlanta. ``I'd have to feel comfortable doing it. It's a big adjustment. Playing centerfield is what I've done all my life...'' Pagan is mostly playing leftfield while Jason Bay recovers from his concussion. The ideal starting outfield would have Bay in left, Pagan in center and Beltran in right.
But Beltran (.215) will not volunteer.
