Betty White to manage the New York Mets?

Betty White fever has reached epic proportions.

First a bit of background. A Facebook group popped up some months back calling for Golden Girl Betty White to host 'Saturday Night Live.' Lo and behold, White ended up hosting the Mother's Day episode of the show. Since then, various other groups have popped up for her to host the Oscars as well as unseat Joe Morgan on Sunday Night Baseball.

As of Monday, there's a Facebook group calling for Betty White to be the new manager of the New York Mets. Now it seems like one would argue that Betty White's Internet ship has sailed, but would it really be so bad to have Rose Nylund being in charge of inserting Ollie Perez into a game? The Mets have been in a bit of a rut over the last few weeks, with some questionable decisions being made by current manager Jerry Manuel with regards to use of Fernando Nieve, among other things.
