Francisco Lindor leads resurgent Mets past MLB-leading Brewers in 10 innings

Francisco Lindor homered, made a diving catch at shortstop with the bases loaded in the ninth inning and scored the winning run on a throwing error by David Hamilton in the 10th to lead the Mets past the Brewers, 3-2, Tuesday night at Citi Field.
Christian Yelich’s double off Austin Warren with no one out in the ninth tied the score at 2. Jefry Yan entered after Warren struck out Luis Lara and got the last two outs, but not before loading the bases. Lindor snagged Hamilton’s hot shot to end the inning.
Luis Robert Jr. homered in the sixth to give the Mets a 2-1 lead.
Mets starter Zac Thornton allowed one run and seven hits in six innings. He struck out four and walked none, lowering his ERA to 2.88. Nate Lanender pitched two scoreless innings.
