Carlos Beltran does something in Port St. Lucie
The Mets were purposefully vague today with their update on Carlos Beltran, saying only that he played three innings "in the field" and also had five at-bats (no elaboration). Could it have something to with Jerry Manuel's public lobbying on Friday to have Beltran return as a DH next weekend at Yankee Stadium?
Hmmm. Methinks it is no coincidence.
