Ike Davis – 7-for-20 with three doubles and two home runs

Fernando Martinez – 6-for-25 with two doubles

Chris Carter – 4-for-18 with a triple and a homer

Ruben Tejada – 1-for-13

Josh Thole – 1-for-16

It’s still early for a lot of these guys, but the “We Like Ike” campaign is sure to heat up if he keep outperforming Mike Jacobs—and by that, I mean getting a hit. Also, Davis has only struck out three times while walking six. Nice plate discipline…Carter and Martinez don’t have great numbers yet, but have shown some power. The big thing with Fernando, though, is that he has yet to walk while striking out seven times….Funny how when the offseason began it looked like the Mets would go with Thole and Omir Santos behind the plate. Now the two are a combined 3-for-25 in Class AAA…
