According to a Tweet by Newsday's Kimberley A. Martin, the Mets have placed starter Chris Young on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder tigthness. The move is retroactive to May 2. To take Young's place, the Mets recalled Pat Misch from Triple-A Buffalo.

Young was slated to start Saturday night's game against L.A. at Citi Field, but was scratched when he was unable to get loose before the game. Dillon Gee took his place and threw 5 1/3 innings of two-run ball in a 4-2 win.

This is Young's second stint on the disabled list this year. Earlier, he missed two weeks with biceps tendinitis.

In another roster move, the Mets placed Johan Santana on the 60-day DL, which opens up a slot on the 40-man roster.
